Your Illinois State University Redbird ID card functions as your meal card and provides access to the following:
The Flex Dollar and University Debit Accounts are debit (declining balance) accounts that work like a checking account . . . you start with a balance and each time you make a purchase, the cashier swipes your ID and the amount of your purchase is subtracted from the balance. The accounts differ in where they can be used and the amount available.

If you have purchased a meal plan, your Redbird ID card will provide you access to the dining centers. |
If you have purchased a meal plan, your Redbird ID Card provides you access to your Flex Dollars in a declining balance account. |
If you have made a deposit, your Redbird ID provides you access to this account. Money may be added via the iCampus portal, 3-D machines around campus, the Redbird Card Office, or at Student Accounts. Learn more about adding money to your card. |
